Apply for a Position View Open PositionsTeam Leads are the backbone of Valor Ranch operations. As a Team Lead, you'll guide and mentor a team of volunteers, coordinate activities, and help ensure our programs run smoothly and effectively. You'll play a direct role in shaping the experience for injured service members and their families.
This is a one-year commitment that includes downloading the "Group Me" app for team communication. Whether your team works onsite, virtually, or both, your leadership will make a lasting impact on our mission and the volunteers you guide.

Lead the team that handles internal and external communication, calendar management, meeting support, and office organization.
2 hours/week | Onsite & Virtual
Lead the team responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of our horses, donkeys, goats, turkeys, chickens, and cats.
3-4 hours/week | Onsite | 7am-11am, 12-2pm, or 3-7pm
Lead the team responsible for ensuring financial health and sustainability while supporting the organization's mission.
1-2 hours/week | Virtual
Lead the team responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all events hosted at Valor Ranch.
4 hours/week | Onsite & Virtual | Min. 2 events/year
Lead the team that maintains the 120-acre ranch, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment for all visitors.
3-5 hours/week | Onsite
Lead the team that secures funding to support our projects, programs, and initiatives through grants and fundraising efforts.
3 hours/week | Virtual
Lead the team that delivers a warm and welcoming environment to everyone who enters the ranch.
2 hours/week | Onsite
Lead the team that manages and enhances the organization's technology infrastructure.
1-2 hours/week | Virtual
Lead the team that raises awareness, increases engagement, and secures support for our mission through strategic campaigns.
2 hours/week | Virtual
Lead the team that manages all of Valor Ranch's online platforms, focusing on content creation and community engagement.
2-5 hours/week | Onsite & Virtual
Lead the team that recruits, organizes, and supports the volunteers who contribute their time and skills to Valor Ranch.
4 hours/week | Onsite & Virtual
Lead the teams that provide direct support activities during hosting weekends, including archery, art, geocaching, nature walks, and woodworking.
3 hours/week | Virtual (planning) & Onsite (weekends)
Team Leads commit to serving for a minimum of one year to provide stability and continuity for their teams and our programs.
All Team Leads must download and actively use the Group Me app for team communication and coordination.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a team of volunteers. Prior leadership or management experience is valued.
A genuine passion for serving injured service members, first responders, and their families, with a commitment to Valor Ranch's mission and values.
Play a direct role in guiding the programs and operations that serve our nation's injured heroes and their families.
Build and mentor a team of dedicated volunteers, developing your leadership skills while making a meaningful impact.
Gain leadership, project management, and organizational experience that translates directly to your professional career.
Work directly with Valor Ranch board members and participate in quarterly Leadership Connection meetings.
