Our Mission

Our Mission

Founded by Steve and Paige Rosado, Valor Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting injured service members or 1st responders who are undergoing care. Specializing in respite and recreational therapy, guests and their families find a peaceful place to heal, reconnect, and find strength together. All operations are volunteer-led and supported through grants, donations, and sponsor-funded events. This support enables Valor Ranch to bring its mission to life, to grow, and to make a positive impact on the lives of guests, their families, Valor Ranch volunteers, and the horses and therapy animals who have been rescued.

Who We Are

Founded on Service: Valor Ranch was established to address the unique challenges faced by injured service members, 1st responders, and their families. We recognized that the transition from military service, especially when complicated by injuries, creates barriers that require specialized support and understanding.

Peaceful Setting: Situated in the beautiful rural landscape of King George, Virginia, our ranch provides a peaceful environment away from the stresses of daily life. The natural setting serves as a therapeutic backdrop for healing and personal growth.

Core Belief: We believe that "Warriors are never alone on the battlefield and shouldn't be alone when they come back home." This fundamental principle drives everything we do at Valor Ranch.

Our Approach: We provide FREE, ADA accessible facilities for injured warriors, offering adaptive activities that reduce stress and provide healing for service members, 1st responders, and their families. We utilize recreation and therapy as healing tools, combining nature, animal-assisted therapy, and a supportive environment to help injured service members and 1st responders find solace, joy, and purpose after injury.
